We are seeking a skilled Building Services Manager to join our team at PARC Retirement Living. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and appearance of our properties, including performing and logging building maintenance, triaging maintenance requests, and managing maintenance supplies and trades.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and log building maintenance, including cleaning, painting, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and snow-removal work.
- Triage maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner using our in-house software system.
- Respond to building emergencies, including floods and equipment breakdowns.
- Manage and procure maintenance supplies and trades.
- Conduct suite inspections and move furniture as needed, along with repair work, carpet cleaning, painting, and other in-suite tasks.
- Assist with budget planning, energy optimization, and other corporate initiatives.
- A meaningful role where you can make a positive difference in seniors' lives.

- 5-10 years of experience as a handyperson in a senior-living or hospitality environment, including supervising employees and/or contractors.
- Excellent decision-making, customer service, and participative management abilities.
- Knowledge and experience with all types of building equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, including kitchen equipment.
- Facility Management or Class 5 Power Engineering certification.
- Basic understanding of physical plant operations, maintenance, and trouble-shooting of major systems.
- Critical thinking and responsiveness, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Understanding and respect for the needs of seniors, their families, and other professional services engaged with our residents.
