Job Title: Shipping ManagerWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Manager to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling activities related to shipping and warehousing.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise the shipping and warehousing team to ensure efficient and accurate operations.
- Plan and coordinate the arrival and departure of trailers/containers, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation.
- Verify and count imports of finished goods, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with the Logistics team to maintain accurate inventories and conduct quality control of finished goods.
- Implement corrective measures to improve the shipping process and optimize production plans with partners.
- Support production operations related to packaging image changes, government legislation, and the introduction of new products.
- Maintain effective communication channels between the plant and departments, ensuring seamless operations.
- College degree in management operation or related field.
- 5 years of experience in production planning and supervision, preferably in a unionized manufacturing sector.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mobilize others and work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, with knowledge of SAP an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards an asset.
