Salary

The salary for this position ranges from $76,071.18 to $86,658.48 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Biologist. As a key member of our Aquatic Invasive Fauna Unit, you will be responsible for coordinating fieldwork to protect BC's natural habitats, particularly at Cultus Lake. You will work closely with multiple partners, including federal and provincial organizations, Indigenous groups, and non-profits, to curate and analyze data that drives informed conservation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate fieldwork to manage invasive species and safeguard species at risk
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve conservation goals
  • Analyze data to inform conservation strategies and drive decision-making
  • Develop and implement projects to mitigate the impact of aquatic invasive species

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related science field (e.g. biological sciences, ecology, natural resources management)
  • Minimum of two years of related experience
  • Registered Professional Biologist (RP Bio) in B.C. or eligible to be registered within six months of employment
  • Valid class 5 B.C. driver's licence
