Job Description:
The Wildlife Ecologist and Researcher will be responsible for leading complex analyses and reporting, assessing and monitoring natural resources, and applying advanced knowledge of ecology related to fire and other disturbance agents driving ecosystem dynamics. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with operational staff to guide forestry practices and research initiatives supporting sustainable development. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, skill development, and contributing to meaningful outcomes for B.C.'s forests and communities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A Thesis-based M.Sc. in Biological Sciences or equivalent education and experience may be considered,
- Registered or eligible for registration as a professional with the relevant specialty area,
- Valid Class 5 B.C. driver's licence,
- Relevant experience leading project design and delivery, complex analyses and reporting, and providing advice within a regulatory regime,
- Experience assessing and monitoring natural resources,
- Experience applying advanced knowledge of ecology related to fire and other disturbance agents driving ecosystem dynamics.
