We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Leader to join our team at Umbrella Family and Child Centres of Hamilton. As a Program Leader, you will be responsible for the overall operation of a high-quality childcare centre, providing a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 12 months to 12 years.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate programs for children, aligned with the Ministry of Education's How Does Learning Happen framework.
- Supervise and mentor staff to ensure high-quality care and education for children.
- Conduct daily checks on children in care, maintain accurate records, and notify supervisors of any unusual circumstances.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment, maintaining professional relationships with Hamilton Wentworth District School Board faculty.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide age-appropriate activities that enhance cognitive, physical, social, cultural, and emotional development.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in early childhood education, preferably in program planning and implementation.
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
- Member in good standing with the College of ECEs.
- Standard First Aid with CPR level C.
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Proof of up-to-date immunization for TB, Tetanus, and MMR.
- Valid Food Handler's certification.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of How Does Learning Happen.
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
