Kitchen Department Manager Job Description

Overview

The Kitchen Department Manager is a key role in ensuring the success of our restaurant. This position is responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, managing staff, and maintaining high-quality food standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage kitchen staff, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations
  • Develop and implement kitchen production plans to meet sales projections and quality standards
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and waste
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve restaurant goals and objectives

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a kitchen management role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
