Job SummaryThe Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food preparation and service teams. This includes establishing efficient work schedules, supervising staff, training employees in job duties and safety procedures, and ensuring that high-quality standards are met in all aspects of food service.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role and possess excellent leadership and communication skills. They will also have a strong ability to estimate ingredient and supply requirements, prepare budgets, and maintain accurate records of stock and sales.
Duties and Responsibilities- Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including maintaining quality control standards.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a safe and healthy working environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business decisions.
- Prepare and submit reports on performance metrics, including sales data and customer feedback.
- Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Previous experience in a food service management or supervision role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to estimate ingredient and supply requirements.
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial management principles.
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate and relevant industry certifications.
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development within our organization.
