About the Role

Xendara Career College is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our vocational evaluation and training centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Daily Operations: Monitor and assess the efficiency of our daily operations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Motivate Staff: Foster a positive and productive work environment by motivating and supporting our staff members.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to our team, including opening and distributing mail, ordering office supplies, and maintaining inventory.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments, answer telephone calls and relay messages, and arrange travel and related itineraries.
  • Communication: Greet clients and visitors, direct them to contacts or service areas, and respond to electronic enquiries.
  • Documentation: Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Technical Terminology: Familiarity with business terminology.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment, and under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to multitask, and a strong work ethic.
