As a Factory Production Director, you will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety. This includes strategic planning, operational oversight, and leadership to achieve production objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement strategic plans to meet production goals, enhance resource efficiency, and elevate overall plant performance.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to align plant objectives with the broader company business strategy.
  • Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing facility, prioritizing production scheduling, materials management, and quality assurance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure production targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to improve processes and reduce waste effectively.
  • Set and maintain high-quality control standards to ensure the production of exceptional product.
  • Introduce quality assurance initiatives focused on continuous improvement of product quality.
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of production personnel, including supervisors, operators, and support staff.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to develop the skills and capabilities of the production team.
  • Work in partnership with relevant authorities to address any environmental or regulatory concerns.
  • Manage production budgets and oversee cost control to optimize the use of resources.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety standards.
  • Continuously seek out opportunities for process optimization and implement initiatives that drive ongoing improvements in overall plant performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in plant management within a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of work experience with production schedules.
  • 10+ years of work experience with people development.
  • Experience being part of rapid growth, change, or an acquisition required.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality control methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in budget management and cost optimization.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in manufacturing.
  • Proficient in inventory management and production scheduling.
