Job Summary

The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, and providing support to employees regarding payroll-related matters. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can leverage technology to create efficiencies and contribute to our team's success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process full-cycle semi-monthly payroll for 200+ employees (salary & hourly) accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless payroll processing and follow up on timecard submissions and approvals.
  • Administer monthly benefits reconciliation to ensure all taxable benefits are accurately recorded for T4 purposes and compliance.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve payroll processes to enhance overall efficiency, accuracy, effectiveness.
  • Main point of contact for payroll queries.
  • Assist with year-end procedures, including internal and external audits, to ensure all payroll-related activities are properly documented.
  • Support with monthly, quarterly payroll accounting and payroll journal entries.
  • Prepare and ensure payroll related remittances and filings are completed in a timely manner including EHT, WCB, and taxes.
  • Maintain ongoing compliance with the Employment Standards Act, staying updated on any changes to the legislation.
Requirements
  • PAYROLL COMPLIANCE PRACTITIONER designation or actively working towards one.
  • Proficiency in UKG payroll software (or similar) and Microsoft Excel is a strong asset.
What We Offer
  • This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule working primarily out of our Vancouver corporate office, with flexibility to work remotely on occasion.
  • Priority hiring consideration will be given to Indigenous Nations members who reside within the territories our projects are located.
Compensation

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum based on experience, depending on qualifications and performance.
