Gecko Hospitality is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in Prince George. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the overall operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality and execution of our globally inspired dishes. Your responsibilities will include training and developing other team members, fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere, and maximizing profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead inspirational culinary operations, instilling a positive culture and role modeling hospitality.
  • Take the lead in hiring, training, and scheduling culinary team members for all positions.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to drive outstanding daily culinary operations.
  • Maximize long-term profitability through excellent leadership and mentorship of your team.
  • Maintain the highest level of food quality execution and support ongoing culinary skills development within your team.
  • Identify and develop high-potential individuals into leaders.
  • Ensure the use of fresh, top-quality ingredients while balancing day-to-day operational costs.

Requirements:
  • Over 3 years of experience leading a culinary team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated skilled business sense in inventory management, food cost, labor and scheduling, and variable costs.
  • Proven leadership skills in developing people and motivating them to perform at their best.
  • Deep passion for maintaining the highest level of food quality.
  • Energetic, upbeat, and ambitious individual.
  • Strong communication skills with a patient and understanding approach.
  • Track record of achieving both professional and personal goals.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
