Senior Data Integration (DI) Technical Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Integration (DI) Technical Consultant to join our team at ROSS, a leader in business intelligence and analytics. Our software provides an integrated platform for analyzing data from every source and gaining predictive power to drive change at every level.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead technical teams and design complex multi-tier server applications with BI tools and technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of data management tools, industry-standard third-party tools, and DW/BI concepts.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing programming, analysis, design, and implementation expertise for our organization's solutions and platforms. This includes independent judgment regarding implementation methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria, as well as acting as a project leader in some projects, technical expert in most projects, and may assume supervisor's duties in project manager's absence.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop reports and information portals for consumption by the user community.
  2. Coordinate development-level, system testing, and acceptance testing of applications and proposes design changes when applicable.
  3. Lead the technical design, coding, and documentation program code for entire applications.
  4. Work with project managers and users in defining and documenting requirements.
  5. Prepare Data Models as required for the application.
  6. Maintain a strong understanding of connectivity issues and connectivity protocols, ability to use and configure software on multiple operating systems.
  7. Experience with one or more databases including Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, Informix, Sybase.
  8. Strong work experience with Master Data Management, Customer Data Integration, and leading-edge data quality tools and techniques.
  9. Ability to understand data management/data quality needs of the client and translate them into a technical solution using BI tools and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering or Computer Science or Master's degree in Statistics.
  • Minimum 8 years of work leading technical teams and designing complex multi-tier server applications with BI tools and technologies.
  • At least 8 years of work experience with fraud in Financial, Government, and/or Insurance settings is an asset.
