We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Manager to lead our design team and drive design vision and strategy for Spare. As a key member of our Product team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design team and ensuring our products deliver exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing design team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Design Vision and Strategy: Define and drive the design vision and strategy for Spare, including the development and maintenance of design systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate design insights, identify opportunities, and enhance product development processes.
- User Experience Research: Oversee and advocate for robust user research practices, including site visits and user feedback collection.
- Design Reviews and Quality Assurance: Conduct design reviews to ensure high standards of quality and alignment with design guidelines.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in UI/UX design, technical knowledge, and leadership experience. You should have a proven track record of leading design teams, driving design strategy, and fostering strong relationships with cross-functional partners.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in UI/UX design and technical knowledge.
- Proven leadership experience in design teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and drive design excellence.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have:
- Passion for transit and/or transit sector experience.
