We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at J&K Electrical Services Ltd.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects. This will involve utilizing quantity take-off procedures, analyzing tenders, and recommending awards. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects
- Utilize quantity take-off procedures to ensure accuracy
- Analyze tenders and recommend awards
- Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
- Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
- Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
- Permanent employment
- English language proficiency
- Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week
The successful candidate will be required to work under pressure and have a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. They will also be required to wear a hard hat, steel-toed safety boots, and other personal protective equipment as necessary.
