Electrical Estimator Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team at Houle Electric Limited. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in estimating electrical project costs, assembling quantity take-offs, and developing quotation submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate electrical project costs and develop quotation submissions.
- Prepare requests for quotations and obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain bid labour and material databases.
- Strategize and maintain communication with suppliers and customers.
- Contribute to the development of project indirect costs and overheads.
- Support and mentor junior estimators.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience estimating electrical work for projects in various market sectors.
- Relevant Electrical TQ or field experience, or AScT, E.I.T., or P.Eng. status.
- Sound knowledge of the electrical sub-trades scope of work and installation methodology.
- Good understanding of electrical drawings and ability to interpret schematics and P&ID's.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Superior proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Accubid and LiveCount estimating software.
