Senior Bridge Project Manager Opportunity

Morrison Hershfield is a leading consulting engineering and management firm seeking a talented Senior Bridge Project Manager to join our Transportation Structures Department in Calgary, AB.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering projects from start to finish, managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve project goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Project management and design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and foundation engineering assignments
  • Analysis, design, preparation of tender packages, visual inspections, report preparation, cost estimating, and construction engineering services
  • Business development and proposal preparation
  • Mentoring of junior staff

Requirements:

  • P.Eng. designation with APEGA or the ability to transfer
  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably within the Bridge Consulting Engineering industry
  • Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, and project manage quality, budget, schedule, and technical deliverables for bridge projects at all phases of the project life cycle
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Familiarity with CHBDC and Alberta Transportation design standards, construction specifications, and project delivery is an asset
  • Familiarity with City of Calgary and City of Edmonton design standards, construction specifications, and project delivery is an asset
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork
  • Experience with CSiBridge / SAP2000 / Midas / SFrame / AutoCAD and similar software is an asset
  • Experience with D/B or P3 projects is an asset
  • Experience acting in the role of Contract Administrator overseeing bridge construction projects is an asset
