About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Analyst to join our team at L3Harris. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for driving inventory reduction opportunities and working closely with various departments to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement strategies to reduce inventory levels and optimize inventory management processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive inventory reduction initiatives and improve supply chain efficiency
  • Develop and maintain key metrics for tracking inventory values and trends, and provide regular reporting to stakeholders
  • Measure and analyze inventory performance against key metrics, and implement improvements as needed
  • Estimate ideal inventory levels based on production plans and provide recommendations to stakeholders
  • Report on work order cycle times and implement improvements to reduce lead times
  • Manage and reduce excess inventory levels, and develop strategies to minimize waste
  • Assist in forecasting inventory needs and providing recommendations to stakeholders
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on inventory levels and trends

Required Capabilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex inventory and supply chain issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency to respond to time-sensitive issues
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office tools, with an emphasis on Excel and Word
  • Team player attitude, with a strong sense of collaboration and a willingness to support business objectives

Desired Education and Experience

  • Five (5) years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or production control environment
  • CPIM Certification or equivalent, with a strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices
  • University Degree/College Diploma in Business Operations, Supply Chain, or related field, with a strong foundation in inventory management and supply chain principles
  • Experience in aerospace/military product support, with a strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain principles in this industry
