Executive Chef Lead

At East Side Mario's (Sunridge), we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Lead to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, as well as training and supervising kitchen staff.
About the RoleWe offer a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to your base salary, you can also expect excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods in accordance with company standards and recipes.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure they meet health and safety standards.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Order supplies and equipment necessary for kitchen operations.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective operation of the kitchen.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Recruit and hire staff as needed to support kitchen operations.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required; post-secondary education in culinary arts an asset.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Dependability, organized, reliability, and strong communication skills essential.
- Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as required.
