About the Role:
The Reinsurance Group of America is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tariff Specialist to join our team. As a Tariff Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating the risks of mortality and morbidity for our clients, and providing expert technical support to our business partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze risk of mortality/morbidity - determine appropriate tariff requirements and classify files in the appropriate risk category by analyzing and interpreting tariff data for the evaluation of mortality and morbidity risk.
- Provide technical expertise and support to our business partners.
- Demonstrate ability to work productively in a high-pressure environment and manage difficult situations effectively.
- Act independently within the scope of authority to sign.
- Support the department leadership by contributing to training, leading team discussions, participating in projects, and contributing positively to the resolution of technical or client-related problems.
- Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork and innovation.
- Participate in RGA events and industry activities and maintain relationships with key clients.
Requirements:
- Diploma in college or university, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tariffing, including experience with medical and financial non-standard risks.
- Service-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bilingual French/English (oral and written) is required due to the need to communicate orally and in writing with a predominantly English-speaking clientele based outside of Quebec.
- Experience in multiple business lines (Life, Disability, MG) is an asset.
