At BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc., we are committed to excellence in every business initiative. With nearly 500 workers across locations in Peterborough, Toronto, and Arnprior, BWXT NEC supplies nuclear fuel and fuel channel components, services, equipment and parts for the CANDU nuclear power industry.

We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to help lead and support our Peterborough Fuel Bundle Assembly Production team. The role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of success in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Management, or Engineering, and at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role. They will be responsible for developing production line manufacturing plans, arranging for adequate staffing, and managing day-to-day production activities to achieve daily, weekly, and yearly production targets.

The Production Supervisor will also be responsible for promoting safety and quality as top priorities, creating and overseeing an employee training schedule, and maintaining open lines of communication between employees and management.

Key qualifications and experience include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Industrial Management, or Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership skills and excellent communication abilities
  • Proven track record of success in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to plan, communicate, and execute
  • Ability to deal fairly and equitably with all employees
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Unionized environment experience is preferred

BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $78,000 to $121,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
