Production Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. in Peterborough, Ontario.
About the Role:
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading and supporting our Peterborough Fuel Bundle Assembly Production team. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to plan, execute, and manage production activities to meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a culture of safety and quality in the production area.
- Develop and implement production plans to meet business objectives.
- Manage and coordinate production activities, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Provide guidance and support to production team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Monitor and report on production performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, including EHS, Quality, and Maintenance, to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
- Develop and maintain a Visual Workplace, including active project boards, performance measure charts, and training program status boards.
- Support the growth and development of all employees, including training and coaching.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including attendance and safety objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, industrial management, or engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of manufacturing supervision experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and manage production activities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and quality.
- Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as required.
What We Offer:
BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $78,000 to $121,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement savings plan.
