About the Role

As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) professional, you will deliver quality care to research participants at SFU's ImageTech facility. You will work closely with faculty to support the success of the research laboratory, practicing in accordance with the standards of professional practice and using best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform special procedure examinations and ensure the care provided is safe.
  • Maximize the potential of the research equipment and resources.
  • Work effectively with research participants, faculty, and staff, including staff in external agencies.
  • Develop procedure protocols and manuals.
  • Exercise sound judgment and exercise tact and discretion.
Requirements
  • Current Registration in Magnetic Resonance with CAMRT and three years of related experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of MRI techniques and the use of applicable equipment and supplies.
  • Excellent knowledge of the standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Imaging practitioners established by the CAMRT and/or other relevant national professional associations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, determine implications, and provide recommendations.
