Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Consultant to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a Senior Cost Consultant, you will be responsible for preparing Mechanical/Electrical cost estimates for all asset classes, and at all levels of design, related to real estate throughout Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing cost estimates for real estate projects
  • Assisting in research related to construction market conditions
  • Developing new business opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Constructing proposals for new work or variations for existing projects
  • Improving cost management procedures and templates
  • Managing estimating and cost planning activities
  • Ensuring effective cost analysis, cost checking, and valuation work
  • Participating in value engineering, LEED analysis, and life cycle costing
  • Leading cost estimate production and ensuring team deliverables
  • Financial management and margin tracking
  • Managing post-contract cost variances and change control processes
  • Preparing cost plan reports and presenting to clients

Qualifications:

  • 7 years of MEP estimating experience
  • Recognized university degree in Construction or related field
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations
  • Certification or designation from professional organization
