Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Alexa Natural Language Processing Expert to join our team. As a key member of the Alexa Customer Journeys team, you will play a critical role in driving innovative projects by designing and implementing cutting-edge NLP solutions.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in handling large data sets, strong analytical skills, and experience in machine learning or large language models. You will collaborate with fellow scientists, program managers, and stakeholders to understand the role data plays in developing high-quality datasets and exemplars that meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with scientists and software engineers to design and evaluate APIs for Large Language Models.
  2. Analyze and automate processes for collecting and annotating LLM inputs and outputs to assess data quality and measurement.
  3. Apply state-of-the-art Generative AI techniques to analyze how well our data represents human language and run experiments to gauge downstream interactions.
  4. Design and lead data collection efforts, define scope and target, provide guidelines and training, and run evaluations of data for handoff.
  5. Automate operations and perform data analysis using Python or other scripting languages.
  6. Test and deploy changes to Alexa's language understanding codebase.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of data scientist experience.
  • 2+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling data analysis tools and techniques, and parameters that affect their performance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language.
  • Experience in a ML or data scientist role with a large technology company.
Estimated Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
