About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our dynamic team at KPMG-Canada. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our assurance teams and ensuring the correct accounting practices and methodologies are applied to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage various client assurance and tax engagements, including Reviews & Compilations.
  • Manage engagements from planning to completion of statements and other deliverables.
  • Counsel, train, and mentor assurance staff.
  • Work with clients and partners to resolve complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Apply KPMG's assurance and accounting practices/methodologies on client engagements.
Requirements
  • Canadian CPA designation.
  • 7+ years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Canadian corporate and personal tax.
  • Previous experience advising clients on day-to-day tax matters.
  • Previous experience with Reviews and Compilation Engagements.
  • Excellent client service skills and ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities.
  • Strong team player with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Professional accounting firm experience is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage staff through effective delegation and strong leadership qualities.
  • Strong mentoring and performance management skills.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
