Emergency Department Supervisor

Lakeridge Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Department Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Emergency Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, organize, and lead the activities of the Emergency Department, including staff management, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure the department is aligned with the hospital's strategic objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient flow, reduce wait times, and enhance the overall patient experience.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Proven experience in emergency nursing, leadership, and project management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
