Job Title: Personal Support Worker

Groves Memorial Community Hospital is seeking a Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing patient care and support to our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
  • Assist patients with mobility and transfer activities.
  • Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team environment to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of an approved Personal Support Worker (PSW) Diploma/Certification from a recognized program.
  • CPR certificate at the Heart Saver Level and Standard First Aid.
  • Previous experience in assisting patients with basic personal care needed.
  • Minimum of one to two years of related experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Additional Requirements:
  • Satisfactory performance and attendance required.
  • Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date.
  • Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment including providing proof of full COVID Vaccination prior to being hired.

The Personal Support Worker will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, providing patient care and support to patients of all ages. The successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
