Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker, Construction

Cobrafer Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining sheet metal products in various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for sheet metal projects
  • Grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces to ensure a smooth finish
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications
  • Develop computerized patterns and layouts for sheet metal products
  • Instruct apprentices in sheet metal fabrication and installation techniques
  • Cut materials using power tools or by hand
  • Assemble, erect, and install hoisting and rigging equipment
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to design and plan sheet metal projects
  • Fabricate and install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a related field
  • 5 years or more of experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
