About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team at Cobrafer Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for sheet metal projects
  • Grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces to ensure quality and conformity to specification
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
  • Develop computerized patterns and layouts for sheet metal fabrication
  • Instruct apprentices in sheet metal fabrication techniques
  • Cut materials using power tools or by hand
  • Assemble, erect, and install hoisting and rigging equipment
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems for design and fabrication
  • Fabricate and install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications for sheet metal projects
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and handle heavy loads
