About the Role

Trotter & Morton Group of Companies is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team of experienced professionals. As a key member of our Facility Services Division, you will be responsible for providing top-notch mechanical system maintenance and repair services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components, including motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators, and compressors using hand and power tools.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems.
  • Startup systems and test for leaks using testing devices.
  • Recharge systems with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate systems, and perform routine maintenance or servicing.
  • Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems.
  • Candidates must also have kept up with their ongoing skills required to service and troubleshoot the constantly changing products found in this HVAC environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to prioritize workloads and utilize planning and time management skills to adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to lead by example.
  • Ability to teach apprentices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Journeyperson HVAC Certification.
  • Apprentices: Completion of 3rd or 4th year schooling plus applicable hours.
  • EPA Certification.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools.
  • HVAC Service experience considered an asset.
