Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team at School District #41 (Burnaby). As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our heating and ventilation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heating and ventilation equipment
  • Inspect and clean boilers, roof top ventilation units, and other equipment
  • Calibrate and repair pneumatic and electronic controls and thermostats
  • Work with computer software for automated heating and ventilating systems
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operation of facilities
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 12
  • Trades Qualification (TQ) in Steamfitting/Pipefitting trade or a TQ in a relevant trade
  • Gasfitter's Certificate (Class B) (Class A is preferred)
  • Four years related work experience as a Journeyman in HVAC service coupled with boiler maintenance and DDC/building automation experience
  • Restricted electrical ticket is an asset
  • Valid B.C. Driver's License (Class 5)
