Role Summary
The Senior Financial Planning Associate will contribute to the overall success of ScotiaMcLeod in Canada by executing specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing financial planning support to a dedicated Wealth Advisor team in preparing and delivering personal financial plans to clients.
- Ensuring all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
- Championing a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Proactively supporting the financial planning needs of advisors by inputting client data, building financial plans, and identifying referral opportunities.
- Collaborating with internal specialists to ensure a consistent product and process is delivered to clients.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A CFP designation or IQFP (QC only).
- An in-depth understanding of the comprehensive financial planning process, including investments, asset protection, retirement, estate planning, and tax issues.
- College or university degree.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word and Excel.
- Advanced understanding of financial planning software and ability to model complex strategies.
Working Environment
This is a client-facing role with Ultra/High Net Worth clients and prospects. You will be working in a dynamic and inclusive environment with a team of experts.
