We are seeking a skilled Renal Technician to join our team at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, BC.
Job Summary:
As a Renal Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, testing, dismantling, and cleaning dialysis-related equipment for patient treatments. You will work under the supervision of nursing staff to provide general patient care activities according to unit demands.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare dialysis equipment and supplies for patient treatment by attaching tubing, calibrating alarms, setting monitors, and dialysate flow rates.
• Transport dialysis equipment to patient treatment areas and set up as required.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble dialysis equipment.
• Assist with patient mobilization and preparation for dialysis, including transporting patients, taking blood pressures, and reporting to nursing staff.
• Monitor and adjust equipment during dialysis under the direction of nursing and medical staff, reporting alarms to nursing staff.
