We are seeking a highly skilled Leasing Law Clerk to join our team at Linds & Associates. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing and amending commercial lease documents, coordinating lease due diligence projects, and preparing notices of lease and other lease-related title documents.
Key Responsibilities- Review and amend commercial lease documents, including leases, subleases, offers to lease, and amending agreements
- Coordinate and manage lease due diligence projects
- Prepare and/or register notices of lease, short forms of lease, and other lease-related title documents
- Liaise and handle commercial lease negotiations from beginning to end with the assistance of a supervising lawyer
- Produce high-quality work and be accountable for all assigned tasks
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience as a Leasing Law Clerk
- Successful completion of a related post-secondary education program in a legal assistant or law clerk program
- ILCO certification or willingness to work towards it
- Knowledge of Title related matters and reading sub-searches an asset
- Ability to handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands
- Flexibility to changing demands of the job
- Microsoft 365 suite of applications
- Knowledge of Workshare Compare or a similar document comparison program
- Knowledge of Teraview
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Good judgment and decision-making
- Ability to problem-solve
- Strong interpersonal skills
