About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering time-limited, evidence-based psycho-social assessments and treatments to adults with Tier-3 mental disorders.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work, be registered with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers, and have at least two years of clinical experience working with adults. You will be expected to demonstrate skills in DSM formulation, applying time-limited, evidence-based psycho-social assessments and treatments, and knowledge of Stepped Care principles and clinical care pathways.

You will work collaboratively with a consultation group to ensure collegial support, accountability, and effectiveness of assessments and treatments. The successful candidate will be motivated, with a strong customer service orientation and ability to synthesize information, problem-solve, and utilize good judgment in decision-making.

About You
  • Master's degree in Social Work
  • Registered with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers
  • At least two years of clinical experience working with adults
  • Skills in DSM formulation and applying time-limited, evidence-based psycho-social assessments and treatments
  • Knowledge of Stepped Care principles and clinical care pathways
  • Motivated with a strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to synthesize information, problem-solve, and utilize good judgment in decision-making
Hours
  • Long Assignment Full Time; 75 Hours Bi-Weekly
  • Approximately 10 Months
Compensation and Incentives

$49.04 Hourly
