About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Cyber, Third Party Risk and Resilience (CTPR) team as an individual contributor. As a Senior Consultant, you'll lead our ongoing efforts to ensure that CTPR's control posture is effective and aligned with best practices and our risk management framework.

In this role, you'll manage CIBC's Cyber, Third Party risk and Resilience regulatory obligations to stay ahead of the evolving regulatory landscape. You'll work closely with domain owners to identify, define, and document key and non-key controls, ensuring they are properly designed for all in-scope processes.

You'll provide guidance and advice to control owners for remediation of control gaps and continuously evaluate current controls to recommend ways to rationalize and optimize them. Additionally, you'll consult on new business initiatives to assess their impact on internal controls.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Controls Management: Ensure that controls are properly designed for all in-scope processes for enterprise and regional entities.
  • Audit Support: Provide support for Cyber, Third Party Risk and Resilience Internal Audits by providing subject matter expertise or liaising with control groups to prepare clear & concise responses to audit inquiries.
  • Information Security Program: Work with information security peers and other stakeholders to understand the security expectations and requirements for CIBC.
  • CTPR Regulatory: Fulfill our cyber regulatory obligations through monitoring the cyber, third party risk and resilience regulatory landscape for changes.
  • Communication & Process Improvement: Stay abreast of both internal and external information security trends to contribute and provide recommendations to improve our information security regulatory posture.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, incentive pay, banking benefits, a benefits program, defined benefit pension plan, employee share purchase plan, vacation offering, wellbeing support, and MomentMakers, our social recognition program.

We're committed to recognizing your achievements in meaningful, personalized ways. You'll have opportunities to grow and develop your skills, working with experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional results.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to demonstrate experience in security standards, regulations, and compliance projects. You should have laid down processes within an Information Security environment and showcase depth of knowledge in frameworks such as ISO 27001/2 and NIST Cyber Security framework.
