We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiation Oncologist to join our team at CancerCare Manitoba. As an Academic Radiation Oncologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care, conducting research, and contributing to the development of our Radiation Oncology program.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat patients with malignant diseases, ordering necessary laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures as required.
- Develop and implement management plans for cancer patients, utilizing your expertise in ionizing radiation therapy.
- Prescribe and supervise therapeutic ionizing radiation, using an evidence-based approach.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, medical and gynecological oncologists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Certification in Radiation Oncology by the Royal College of Physicians of Canada or equivalent governing body.
- Eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
- Additional one-year fellowship in Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) or Gamma Knife (GK) or Brachytherapy.
- Specialized research training and significant experience in research is highly preferred.
- Competitive fee-for-service remuneration model.
- Up to 5% retention fund.
- On-call compensation.
- Comprehensive benefits package, including short-term disability, long-term disability, health spending account, dental, health, life insurance, and employee assistance program.
- Reimbursement of moving expenses up to $10,000.
- Hiring bonus of up to $15,000.
