Job Title: Natural Resources Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Natural Resources Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Director of Inter-Government Affairs in researching and responding to referrals related to natural resources and environmental impacts. This position requires a strong understanding of ecological, economic, and cultural perspectives, as well as excellent research, reporting, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and analyze data to inform decision-making on natural resource management and environmental sustainability.
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement and communication plans to ensure effective collaboration with community members, government agencies, and industry partners.
  • Conduct social, economic, and environmental analyses and assessments to identify opportunities for climate change mitigation and sustainable land use.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community members, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement mitigation plans to minimize environmental impacts and promote sustainable land use practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental studies or a related field.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data from various sources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and geographic information systems (GIS) software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
