L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Material Management Site Representative to join our team in Bagotville, QC. As a key member of our Material Management team, you will act as a liaison between our team, the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), and our on-site operation team.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our customer and subcontractor to meet the RCAF's operational targets while providing guidance on material management procedures. You will be the sole point of contact on the operating base for any contracted material requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the representative of L3Harris Material Management team with the RCAF Wing's various levels of Logistic and operational planning organisations as well as the warehouse subcontractor;
  • Apply efficient communication practices to ensure the various stakeholders are informed of Material Management priorities, concerns, issues or projects;
  • Effectively manage customer communications with regards to the material availability, scope changes and schedule;
  • Represent L3Harris during the integrated team reviews with the customer and/or warehouse subcontractor;
  • Through coordination with the Wing's Logistic and operational planning organisations, track the schedule of training and operational deployments, their requirements and report on their impacts on Pack-Up Kits (PUK) and material requirement to L3Harris Material Management team and the warehouse subcontractor;
  • Provide regular training and mentorship sessions on current and updates on the Material Management processes and directives;
  • In cooperation with the L3Harris Material Management team, provide mentorship to RCAF's logisticians and operational planners at the Wing of the effective implementation and follow-up of the Material Management processes, tracking areas of improvements and focus areas for training;
  • In cooperation with L3Harris Material Management team, liaise with the warehouse subcontractor for the effective inventory and management of the L3Harris contracted portion of the PUKs, clarifying areas of concerns or deviations;
  • Support the effective coordination of the Material Management needs as identified by the Logistics and Operational planning cells of the Tactical Fighter Squadrons, Air Maintenance Squadron and Operational Support Squadron;
  • Coordinate and tracks the repairs of components at 2nd Line by shops, being DND or L3Harris operated, to meet stocks requirements and readiness;
  • As directed by the Contract Manager Material Management, Operations Management, support the planning and scheduling of disposal requirements;
  • Coordinate with CF188 Hornet Extension Project Lines, Special Project Lines and Periodic Production lines to ensure components requirements in support of their respective scheduled are met;
  • Encourage and champion Continuous Improvement principles and projects related to Material Management;
  • Complete projects and tasks as directed by the L3Harris Manager Material Management.

Requirements:

  • College or undergraduate degree in a relevant field of expertise such as material management, supply chain management, logistics, engineering, operations management, aeronautics or equivalent experience;
  • Five (5) years of experience in management of logistics and material management, preferably in a military context;
  • Experience dealing with people of various professional background involved in military operations planning (an asset);
  • Knowledge of SAP;
  • Knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint);
  • Be customer service and results oriented while possessing an operational focus based on meeting schedules while adopting an approach that integrates with the company's values organization;
  • Knowledge of different problem solving methods (8D for example) (an asset);
  • Knowledge and experience in continuous improvement (concepts, methodology);
  • Knowledge of laws and policies related to the environment, health and safety at work (an asset);
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Bilingualism (English and French) both orally and in writing (mandatory);
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively balance priorities;
  • Ability to communicate project related and technical details clearly and concisely, both orally and in written form;
  • Ability to deal directly with internal and external customers;
  • Ease of adaptation, interpersonal skills, strong customer service skills;
  • Solid skills in teamwork, in collaboration, in adaptability and operational flexibility in meeting objectives, in communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Available to travel (10% of the time).

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada "Reliability" status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) .
