About the Job

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Junior Data Analyst to join our team at Data Privacy. This is a 6-month contract with a strong potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Management and Analysis: Input and manage reportable data related to FIU investigations, ensuring accuracy in documentation and data handling in compliance with FINTRAC regulations.
  • Workflow and Documentation: Operate within established workflows, ensuring accurate saving and uploading of documentation, and communicate effectively with investigators to transcribe and clarify detailed information.
  • Communication and Support: Provide support to the FIU team, addressing data-related queries and assisting in report preparation, and interact with a diverse range of individuals, applying tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree from a recognized Canadian university, preferably in a related field such as Data Science, Statistics, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint, familiarity with data entry tools and office equipment.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to gather, organize, and interpret data, systematic thinker with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Organizational and Administrative Skills: High level of attention to detail and accuracy, ability to manage tasks independently with minimal direction, strong initiative and self-management skills.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact with various stakeholders, demonstrating tact and confidentiality.
Work Environment:

Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing in-office and remote work, comfort with extended periods of computer use.
