About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at 2595220 Ontario Inc. as a Child Care Centre Educator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development Planning: Assess children's development to create personalized learning plans that cater to their unique needs.
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth in children.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the daycare equipment is well-maintained and safe for children to use.
  • Storytelling and Activities: Engage children through storytelling, teaching songs, and organizing local outings.
  • Creative Expression: Encourage children to express themselves through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Guidance and Support: Assist children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare reports for parents or supervisors.
  • Behavioral Guidelines: Establish and enforce guidelines for behavior in the child care centre.
  • Staff Meetings: Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
  • Collaboration and Community Building: Foster strong relationships with colleagues and community service providers working with children.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • School-Age Programs: Organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours.
Supervision and Support

The successful candidate will be working under the supervision of 3-4 colleagues.

Certifications and Experience
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 30-40 hours of work per week
