CompensationThe estimated annual salary for this position is between $45,000 - $60,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionAs a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will perform a variety of tasks to maintain and repair our facilities and equipment. This includes:
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as scrubbing and repairing walls and ceilings.
- Operating industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and other refuse.
- Inspecting and repairing damaged floor coverings.
- Preparing floors for installations and measuring, cutting, and installing drywall sheets.
- Installing door, window, and other hardware, as well as connecting, disconnecting, and relocating cable outlets.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of construction practices and procedures.
- Experience with power tools and equipment, including saws, roller painting, and nail guns.
