Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Server Representative to join our team at AccorHotel. As a Server Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Have a thorough understanding of our menu, including wine, à la carte, and promotional menus, to suggestively upsell and enhance the guest experience.
  • Report to duty punctually, maintaining the integrity of coworkers and guests.
  • Consistently offer personal, friendly, and efficient service, clearing all dishes and presenting cheques in a professional and discreet manner.
  • Have full knowledge of menu, beverage lists, and special promotions, taking corrective action when dealing with dissatisfied guests.
  • Maintain teamwork and good work ethics with all guests, assisting coworkers with duties without compromising the guest dining experience.
  • Understand shift end reports, non-cash/cash transactions, and procedures for depositing monies into safe or collecting due backs.
  • Have read and understood all hotel policies and procedures, departmental standards, and employee handbook.
  • Understand concept hours of operation, procedures for order taking, writing reservations, table setting, and guest service standards of the restaurant.
  • Aware of safety and sanitation when handling food and beverage.
  • Understand each work section and all side duties that may be assigned.
  • Attend pre-shift, weekly, and monthly meetings to ensure open lines of communication between all employees.
  • Understand and follow the hotel's recycling program and procedures.
  • Immediately report any accidents that happen to your manager.
  • Express concerns, suggestions, or comments on how to improve the guest experience or ways to improve the operation as a whole.
  • Understand how to operate all equipment used in the outlet.
  • Understand all other outlets' services and offices in the hotel (location, hours of operation, and offerings).
Qualifications
  • Available to work breakfast and lunch service.
  • Previous work experience in a restaurant/food and beverage setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.
  • Smart Serve training program certification.
  • Must be of age of majority to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • OTEC certificate an asset.
Physical Aspects of Position
  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
  • Constant kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
  • Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
