About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, Older Adult, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centered care to acutely ill elderly patients in our acute care units. Your expertise will enable you to assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions.

About the Salary

The estimated annual salary for this role is $85,400 - $118,900, based on a 37-hour workweek and assuming a 52-week working year. Please note that salaries may vary depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patients' physical and emotional needs through observation, communication, and data review
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans to address patients' unique needs
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families/caregivers
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • One (1) year recent related acute care experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records
  • Familiarity with electronic health records systems and computer applications
