Job Summary:

The Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy-duty equipment, instructing apprentices, and maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty equipment, including trucks and attachments
  • Instruct apprentices in equipment maintenance and repair techniques
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance and repair
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Attention to detail and manual dexterity
Work Environment:

The Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic will work in a variety of locations, including staff accommodation and various work sites.
