Job Title: Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team at KMC Mining Corporation.

Job Summary:

The Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty equipment, including heavy trucks, attachments, and working tools. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and troubleshooting, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment, including heavy trucks, attachments, and working tools.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults and malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation up to date.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work as required.
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks and attachments.
  • Service and repair emission control systems.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment:

The Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic will work in a variety of locations, including staff accommodation and various work sites. The successful candidate will be required to work in a physically demanding environment and will be expected to travel to and from work sites as required.

The hours of work will be 42 to 53 hours per week.
