Lead Intake and Admissions Coordinator

About the Role
Forest View Hospital, a leading psychiatric facility, seeks a highly skilled Intake Team Lead to join its Assessment and Referral Center.
Reporting to the Director of Intake and Admissions, this key role will oversee the provision of patient access to care and behavioral health assessment services, including call management, clinical evaluations, crisis intervention, admissions, and referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct day-to-day department operations and admissions process
- Coordinate and lead the onboarding and training process for new staff
- Direct the screening of potential patients for admission into the hospital and initiate the integrated assessment process
- Ensure staff schedules and configurations meet the needs of the hospital and its patients
- Monitor and distribute assessments and work assignments among nursing staff
- Prepare and coordinate facility assessments and patient admissions
- Communicate with attending physicians and ensure patient historical information is complete
- Assist the Assessment and Referral Director in preparing reports and communicating census information
- Provide guidance on community resources and referrals for patients
- Ensure patient rights are upheld in compliance with state and federal regulations
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse or Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in admissions and referral in a psychiatric or mental health setting
- Knowledge of patient assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention techniques
