About the Role:

Metergy Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Energy Monitoring IoT Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining energy monitoring solutions that leverage IoT technology.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues in IoT hardware, sensors, and software systems.
  • Identify system inefficiencies or risks and propose effective solutions.
  • Balance trade-offs between technical feasibility, cost, and performance in problem-solving.
  • Prepare concise documentation for IoT system architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Write reports summarizing energy consumption patterns and actionable insights.
  • Engage in knowledge sharing through team meetings, wikis, or technical presentations.
  • Stay updated on advancements in IoT platforms, protocols, and energy management tools.
  • Proactively explore new tools or technologies to improve system performance.
  • Participate in relevant training, workshops, and certification programs.
  • Understand the complete lifecycle of the energy monitoring system—from device selection, installation, configuration, to data analysis and reporting.
  • Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation.

Requirements:

  • Electrical, mechatronic, systems engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with writing and presenting technical reports.
  • Experience leading or participating in cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn.
  • Occasional travel to the US.

  • Python and Power Automate experience.
  • Building science knowledge.
