Fleetex Transport Ltd. Diesel Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Fleetex Transport Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy trucks and farm equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Diagnose faults and malfunctions in our heavy trucks and farm equipment using computerized and other testing equipment.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Order parts, adjust equipment, and repair or replace defective parts to ensure our vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Keep Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on our equipment.
  • Test and Verify Equipment: Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturers' specifications and is safe for operation.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Physical Demands: The position requires physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads.
  • Attention to Detail: The successful candidate must have excellent attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manual Dexterity: The position requires manual dexterity and the ability to perform tasks that require hand-eye coordination.
