Diesel Mechanic Job Description

At BEAVER TRANSPORTATION INC., we are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, diagnosing issues using computerized testing equipment, and performing repairs and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including adjusting equipment and replacing defective parts
  • Keep maintenance records and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 35 hours of work per week
Work Environment:

The work environment is physically demanding, with a focus on attention to detail and manual dexterity. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a dusty and noisy environment, with regular exposure to heavy equipment and tools.
